The first ship in Silversea’s Nova class will feature suites with asymmetrical designs and wide layouts, in line with Silversea’s aim of creating “one of the most spacious cruise ships ever built.”
With a capacity for 728 guests, the Silver Nova will have suites as large as 1,324 square feet with balconies as large as 431 square feet. The largest suite, the Otium Suite, includes floor-to-ceiling windows in all living areas and 270-degree views from the inside.
The ship’s 364 suites will span 13 categories. The smallest suites will have 357 square feet, and all suites will have balconies ranging from 43 to 431 square feet.
Silversea describes the suite details as “intuitive and modern.” Headboards will have integrated reading lights. The walk-in closet design has been “reimagined.”
The color palette features “a blend of soft and neutral tones, with deeper but subtle accents inspired by the sea and earth,” Silversea said.
The Silver Nova, Silversea’s first hybrid-power ship, is expected to join the fleet in the summer of 2023. The ship will run on hybrid power, leaning on liquefied natural gas but supplementing with a fuel-cell system and batteries that can power the ship while docked at some ports.
The ship is under construction at the Meyer Werft shipyard in Papenburg, Germany.
