A Spirit Airlines flight arriving from Las Vegas skidded off a taxiway Thursday morning after landing at Baltimore/Washington Thurgood International Airport, the airline confirmed.
“After safely landing and entering the taxiway this morning, the nose wheel of Spirit Airlines Flight 696 slowly slid onto the grass while turning a corner and taxiing to the gate,” Spirit spokesperson Field Sutton told USA TODAY. “All 111 guests and team members are safe and were transported by bus to the terminal.”
The region has received about 1.5 inches of snow since Wednesday, according to reports by The Baltimore Sun and WUSA, the CBS affiliate in Washington. Conditions are expected to turn icy as the day wears on.
