Celebrities left fans feeling jealous by jetting off to Dubai before Tier 4 restrictions were introduced by the government.
The destination has proven to be a popular one in recent weeks as its travel restrictions have loosened.
A test can be conducted before or after travelling to the popular hotspot.
And at the time of publication, holidaymakers currently aren’t required to self isolate when they return from Dubai to the UK.
So will you be adding the dazzling UAE city to your bucket list for future globe-trotting?
Taking a peek inside the recent holidays of famous faces may sway you…
Molly-Mae Hague and Tommy Fury
Earlier this month, the Love Islanders left fans green with envy after booking into a £1,200 a night Dubai hotel.
They stayed at the Jumeirah Al Naseem, which boasts spectacular views of the famous Burj Al Arab.
Molly-Mae and Tommy had the opportunity to kick back in hot tubs and do water sports activities if they wished.
Other luxurious hotel facilities include nearby tennis courts and golf courses nearby.
But the loved-up couple seemed to spend a lot of time on Jumeriah beach, where the influencer posed in a Fendi swimsuit.
The pair’s jet-setting didn’t stop there either as they recently travelled to the Maldives!
They were criticised for all their holidays – but Molly-Mae pointed out they haven’t broken any rules.
She wrote: “In response to the messages I’m already getting about us being away throughout this time… please understand that Tommy and I left the UK from Cheshire which was in tier 2 at the time.
“We didn’t break any rules coming away.
“If we knew these rules were going to be put in place then obviously we would have never left the UK… the minute we arrive home we will be following government guidelines.”
Amber Gill and Kaz Crossley
Molly-Mae and Tommy aren’t the only Love Island alumni who have visited Dubai recently.
Amber Gill is in the country at the moment after jetting off on Saturday.
She admitted she “had no idea tier 4 was a thing” and told fans “the flight was booked way before” any changes were made.
The 23-year-old said she’s taking a work trip and not necessarily travelling for pleasure.
She’s now worried she may have to isolate away from her family this week – adding: “I’ve never not been in Newcastle with my family for Christmas”.
There could be worse places to be stranded in though.
Amber has taken boat trips in recent days and eaten out in celebrity hotspot Asia Asia, which is described as “the best restaurant and lounge in Dubai for exotic, award-winning Pan-Asian fusion cuisine in a beautiful setting”.
She’s also been joined by Love Islander Kaz Crossley who visited a salon to get a pedicure and sports massage.
The reality TV duo have since been lounging around by the pool enjoying the sun.
TOWIE star Ferne McCann spent time in Dubai with her three-year-old daughter Sunday this December.
She also enjoyed days out with friends, captioning a poolside picture: “Lots of fun & giggles & food & laughter & good times with my darlings.”
Highlights of the trip included a glamorous evening at Buddha Bar, where Ferne wore a bikini and pom-pom trousers.
The mum and daughter duo also enjoyed water park facilities at the Westin Dubai resort and marina.
They were pictured whizzing down a slide and enjoying some downtime at the pool.
Jess and Eve Gale
Jess and Eve Gale, who were on winter Love Island last year, spent three weeks in Dubai.
The twins were joined by their bestie Demi Jones, who they enjoyed a visit to Penthouse Dubai with.
They also took a tour of the Dubai Marina on a yacht, where they snapped plenty of Instagram pictures.
And on another enviable trip, they visited the world’s tallest building the Burj Khalifa.
Before heading home, Eve took a final dip and admitted she was “going to miss the pool”.
The 24-year-old and her boyfriend Nick Kyriacou enjoyed a trip to Dubai last month.
They stayed at the luxury FIVE Palm Jumeirah Hotel, where rooms can go for as much as £2,000 a night.
During their holiday, Amber posed near the five-star hotel Burj Al Arab.
The building, managed by Jumeirah hotel group, is one of the tallest hotels in the world.
It stands on an artificial island and is shaped like the sail of a ship.
Amber Turner and Dan Edgar
The TOWIE star and her boyfriend Dan Edgar returned from Dubai last weekend – landing in London Heathrow just before Tier 4 lockdown came into effect.
They seemed to enjoy their sunny holiday while they could.
Amber gushed that she was “living in the moment” as she posed on a speedboat in front of the luxurious Atlantis, The Palm hotel.
As well as speeding around on the sea, they visited the Emirates Park Resort to see the zoo.
They were pictured feeding a giraffe during their trip, where they also enjoyed a meal of their own beside the majestic animal.
Other highlights of the trip seemed to be cocktails at FIVE Palm and partying on Nikki Beach.
Maura Higgins and Chris Taylor
Love Islanders Maura and Chris have also spend time in Dubai this month.
The former joked she was a “long way from Tipperary” during the trip.
After announcing their relationship with a loved-up poolside snap, the couple enjoyed boat trips and roof top bars.
Maura even snapped a picture with a camel, which she cheekily captioned: “Gimme a kiss”.
The pair have since returned to the UK so don’t face being stuck in quarantine or abroad during the festive period.
So thinking of travelling to Dubai?
If you are in Tier 4 you aren't allowed to jet off at the moment.
Tier 3 residents are also advised to stay in their local area where possible.
They must "carefully consider whether they must travel abroad".
Tier 2 and Tier 1 residents are able to travel more freely – just not to areas where coronavirus risk is higher.
According to the Foreign Office: “Before visitors fly to Dubai, they will also be required to complete a Health Declaration Form and a Quarantine Form. Both forms need to be printed, completed and handed over to Dubai Health Authority staff on arrival. Visitors to Dubai will also have to register their details on the COVID-19 DXB App.
“Visitors must have international health insurance before travelling.
“All visitors to Dubai must adhere to all public health measures issued by the Dubai authorities including any requirements to quarantine.
“Stringent entry restrictions remain in place upon arrival at all airports in the UAE which may include, but are not limited to, a Health Authority COVID-19 PCR test on arrival, mandatory quarantine period, usually via self-isolation at a private address if suitable, or a hotel or Government facility, for at least 14 days, and follow up testing before you are able to complete quarantine. Once any quarantine period is complete you must continue to comply with all measures put in place by the UAE authorities to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
“Arrivals in Abu Dhabi from countries that the UAE authorities consider high risk, and/or for whom the authorities assess private accommodation in the UAE to be unsuitable, are likely to be required to quarantine in a government quarantine facility for at least 14 days.”
