Many of us would love to live in a castle that looks like it’s straight out of a fairytale. And now, that dream can become a reality.
An adorable pink castle located Cornhill, just north of the Cairngorms National Park in Scotland, is on the market, Insider reported. The Castle of Park dates back to 1242, but was later rebuilt in the 16th century (and allegedly was once the home of Robert the Bruce). Overall, it has a grand total of eight bedrooms, nine bathrooms, six reception or common rooms, and plenty more perks to enjoy.
The mansion itself also has a Great Hall with beautiful fireplace, wooden details on the walls, a medieval painting on the ceiling, and a stunning view, according to Insider. The castle also has a more updated kitchen with mint green cabinetry, a farmhouse sink, and plenty of space. Elsewhere in the castle you can enjoy a game of pool in the billiards room, or spend some time in the drawing room, grand dining room, or chapel.
The castle grounds take up over 35 acres of sweeping landscape, according to Insider. The grounds are home to an enclosed endless pool (a jetted lap pool), a croquet lawn, an orchard, lots of beautiful ponds and natural forest to roam around in, a rose garden, and even a labyrinth — just in case this place wasn’t dreamy enough for you. In addition, there are four pastures that are used for animal grazing. There’s also a pavilion that was added in 2018 to host weddings and other events, according to the castle’s listing.
The idyllic property currently has an asking price of £1.5 million ($1.98 million USD). For more information or to check out more photos of this beautiful place, visit the castle’s listing on the Knight Frank website.
