Brits have given their damming verdict on the UK's worst seaside towns, slamming them for 'dirty streets' and the less-than-inviting 'brown sea'.
Despite being popular holiday spots, Skegness and Clacton-on-Sea were deemed the worst of the UK's seaside offering in new rankings by Which? Travel.
Over 3,000 people were asked to rate their experience at coastal locations in the last year, giving their verdict on the quality of the beaches, food and drink offerings, tourist attractions and value for money.
Skegness takes quite the beating on Tripadvisor already. While plenty of people praise its great beach, "old fashioned charm" and popularity with families, others described it as a "hole" with one dramatic holidaymaker urging others to "run away".

Another added: "Horribly smelly. The sea has a brown froth on the top. The streets are dirty. The roads are potholed."
As for Clacton-on-Sea, one savage review slammed the toilets to be found by the beach, claiming they found "poo on the floor and walls" at various toilets along the seafront.
Still it wasn't all bad.
Both destinations have plenty of positive reviews about the beach including the facilities on offer for families such as parking, food and drink venues, and the attractions for kids.
One person said of Skegness: "5 out of 5. The beach was clean litter wise and easy to walk at a relaxed pace. Easy to get to either on foot by car or public transport. There are public toilets at the south end at 40 p to use or by debit card near the big carpark at the south end. Other toilets can be found at the pier at the amusement centre, which are free to use.
"Various food..drink places can be found along the beach should you need them and a bar can be found on the pier. The beach is pet friendly, but certain sections are dog free during the summer period. The beach has a concrete footpath at the back for walking or disabled carriages to use with the amusement park nearby."
On the other end of the scale, Bamburgh in Northumberland was named the UK's best seaside town for the third year in a row, winning over fans thanks to its beautiful beach, ancient castle and classic seaside charm.
