Ever wondered what goes on behind the scenes at a hotel? Tourists might be shocked to find out what could have happened to their hotel kettle.<\/p>\n
The travel expert team at eshores spoke to hotel staff to find out everything tourists should know when they check in.<\/p>\n
A spokesperson said: \u201cAccording to staff, who wish to remain anonymous, you should double check everything you drink in a hotel room.<\/p>\n
\u201cLairy room occupants have been known to add unmentionables into kettles, an item not checked daily by housekeeping.<\/p>\n

One hotel worker recalls a guest urinating into a bottle from the mini bar and replacing the cap, only to be discovered when the next guest arrived and tried to take a drink! So, when it comes to drinks, check first. It\u2019s better to be safe than sorry.\u201d<\/p>\n Mini bar items aren\u2019t usually free for guests, so some travellers might try sneaky ways to get around the charge.<\/p>\n While urinating in a bottle is an extreme option, guests have been known to replace items with water.<\/p>\n Guests should only drink from sealed items and contact reception immediately if they suspect an item has been tampered with.<\/p>\n It\u2019s not just hotel workers who\u2019ve been sharing behind the scenes secrets. A flight attendant told passengers which meal they\u2019d avoid having before a flight.<\/p>\n A pilot also took to Tiktok to share exactly what he does during a long haul flight and why passengers might see him snoozing in a first class seat.<\/p>\n
