Three host agencies and a travel agency consortium are now clients of Sion, the agent-created commission tracking and recovery software.

Consortium MAST Travel Network; Raleigh, N.C.-based host agency Travel Experts (No. 24 on Travel Weekly’s 2023 Power List); Mooresville, N.C.-based host agency Gifted Travel Network (No. 54 on Travel Weekly’s list) and Atlanta-based host agency Jetset World Travel (formerly Epperly Travel) have all signed on with Sion.

Commissions can be notoriously difficult to track and collect. Sion was founded in 2019 by travel advisor Irving Betesh and his best friend, Alfons Musry. The product enables travel advisors to track payments they are owed. It also streamlines reconciliation and payroll processes.

“We are proud to partner with these forward-thinking agencies who share our priorities: getting paid what they’ve earned and growing their businesses,” Betesh said. “These travel agencies have recognized the transformative power of Sion, and we’re excited for this opportunity.”

According to Sion, it has tracked more than $5 billion in bookings to date.

In a release, Heather McIntyre, director of technology and finance at Travel Experts, called Sion “a game-changer for travel agencies looking to optimize their revenue streams and streamline their processes.”

Sandy Saburn, Gifted Travel Network’s chief strategic alliances officer, said the software would free up advisors “who are better served working with clients than chasing commissions.”
