Taking 68% of the vote, Scotland\u2019s North Coast drive was crowned the best drive by British motorists, according to Dacia\u2019s new study.<\/p>\n

The top three drives were joined by Cheddar Gorge through the Mendip Hills and the Causeways Coastal Route, running between Belfast and Derry Londonderry.<\/p>\n

The study of 2,000 Brits, has uncovered the ultimate UK road trips, with over nine in 10 (96%) stating that the UK has the world\u2019s best drives. The longlist was created by a panel of top travel experts which was then put to a public vote to identify the best UK road trips.<\/p>\n

The UK\u2019s ultimate top 10 road trips<\/b><\/p>\n

1. The North Coast 500 route starting from Inverness, Scotland<\/p>\n

2. The Coastal Way, Wales<\/p>\n

3. The Jurassic Coast, from Poole to Lyme Regis<\/p>\n

4. Cheddar Gorge through the Mendip Hills<\/p>\n

5. Causeways Coastal Route, Belfast to Derry\/Londonderry<\/p>\n

6. Kendal to Keswick In the Lake District<\/p>\n

7. The Cotswolds to Bath<\/p>\n

8. Cat and Fiddle route (A53 then A54 followed by the A537) in the Peak District<\/p>\n

9. Ribblehead Viaduct, North Yorkshire<\/p>\n

10. Snowdonia\u2019s Llanberis Pass, Wales<\/p>\n

Dramatic landscapes, coastal beaches, and country roads all make up the most important factors for Brits when planning a road trip.<\/p>\n

But, the time of year is also key to most Brits, with 37 % voting autumn as the most beautiful time to hit the road and explore Britain with the changing colours of the leaves, as well as the cooler weather and avoiding tourists are the top reasons Brits prefer it.<\/p>\n

To celebrate the nation\u2019s most desirable road trip locations, Dacia, is launching a limited-edition range of car air fresheners. Scents include Scent-sational Highlands, The Coastal Whiff, Eau de Gorge-ous and The Jura-scent Coast.<\/p>\n
