Located just over two hours away by air from the UK is the beautiful capital city of Tuscany, Florence.<\/p>\n

Known for its stunning Renaissance architecture and iconic artworks, Florence is a breathtaking and extremely manageable city break destination.<\/p>\n

According to the travel experts at Tourlane, Florence is the most walkable city in the world – with the city\u2019s top five attractions all within a 10 minute walk (or half a mile) of each other.<\/p>\n

Crossing the river Arno, the Ponte Vecchio (Old Bridge) has been synonymous with Florence since its construction during Roman times.<\/p>\n

The three-arched stone medieval structure was the only bridge in Florence to avoid destruction in World War II and is instantly recognisable.<\/p>\n

It is an incredibly popular spot for visitors to Florence, with Tripadvisor user Richard M commenting: \u201cThe bridge is just stunning. It is covered in shops, most of them selling jewellery. The bridge is gorgeous and a great place for some incredible pictures.\u201d<\/p>\n

Just a mere two minute stroll away from the Ponte Vecchio is the Uffizi Gallery, home to countless priceless pieces from notable artists such as Leonardo Da Vinci, Michelangelo, and Botticelli.<\/p>\n

Regarded as one of the best and most-visited museums in the world, the 16th century building itself is a work of art.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Tripadvisor user Cherylcat said: \u201cTo see DaVinci, Michelangelo, Botticelli and others up close cannot be described\u2014it\u2019s magical,\u201d before adding, \u201cthis is a must see on any Florence visit. Wait till you see the red room.\u201d<\/p>\n
