Agadir has gone through a regeneration having been destroyed by an earthquake back in the 1960s. Officials decided to start from scratch, with the city now home to palm-lined avenues, numerous cafes and restaurants and beautiful parkland.<\/p>\n

In the centre, you’ll find endless shopping opportunities, as well as the chance to try some of their best local products including argan oil and amlou.<\/p>\n

The village of Taghazout is particularly popular with British tourists, pinpointed as the best surfing point for those looking to catch the waves and is just a 30 minute drive from the city centre.<\/p>\n

  The future plans for the city are said to be much grander, with a strip of new hotels on the cards.<\/p>\n
